I don’t even know how to answer this since Mothership is “closed”!!
And before Mothership is was ?? in Franklin, which is really closed. (I can’t believe the name of that place is escaping me! If I think of it later I’ll come back and comment. Maybe, if I remember to!)
Whitt’s and Bar-B-Cutie are acceptable.

well, first off if i am voting for good barbecue it isn’t “pig” it’s beef. Judge Bean’s is probably my favorite. Great brisket. Jim and Nick’s is very good as well.
As long as it doesn’t too much sauce on it and the sauce isn’t sweeter than my maple syrup.

Best in Middle TN imho is on Hwy 70 in White Bluff, which is west of Nashville, Carls Perfect Pig.
