major life decisions
As of last night, I expect to be a first-time home owner by October!
There is a TON of new construction on the southside of Nolensville Road between Old Hickory Blvd and Franklin. Their calling it “Cane Ridge”, but if we’re all going to be honest with ourselves, it’s still Antioch. Hopefully though, with all the new developments, this will change the face and reputation of Antioch.
I am very excited about my investment, but still kind of freaking out. I mean, unless you have a gazillion dollars, who DOESN’T freak out over the word ‘mortgage’.
I’m becoming such an adult. Oy-veh.

We just bought our first house in Hermitage. Literally, JUST bought. I was painting today (again), it seems to never stop.
Good luck. And ya, I feel kind of adult-like now

I’ve never been sure that being an adult is all that is cracked up to be, but good for you.
That area is boooooming…even got a Starbucks down there and it’s not so far from Martins, my new favorite bbq joint now that the ’ship is down.
congratulations.

Emily–have you looked into THDA loans for first-time homeowners?
I used the program when I bought my first house a little over a year ago. My percentage rate is an entire point less than the lowest advertised rate and the program offers assistance with downpayment and the various fees that go along with home purchase.
It’s a great program and I recommend looking into it.
